# How are loyalty points earned?

Loyalty points are accumulated through a variety of predefined actions that recognize your trading activity and overall engagement with WM Markets. The primary ways to earn points are as follows:

1. Trading Volume: Points are allocated based on the number of closed lots you trade. The more you trade, the more points you earn. Your Loyalty Status determines the number of points awarded per lot, with higher statuses granting more points for each trade.

2. Interest on Equity: By enrolling in the Interest Program, you can earn additional points on your net equity (equity minus credit). The interest rate is dependent on your Loyalty Status, with higher tiers offering increased yields.

Below is an overview of how points are earned based on your Loyalty Status:

Example:
 If you hold Gold Status, you earn 0.4 points per closed lot. Closing 50 lots in a month will generate 20 points (50 x 0.4 = 20). Additionally, if you have activated the Interest Program, you will earn extra points based on your net equity, increasing your overall rewards.
